WIBA Adult Members
Receive a variety of benefits for their membership which includes advice and assistance, leagues, coaching sessions, use of equipment and discounted tournament entry. As well as the opportunity to travel away to tournaments and events with WIBA. 17 members from across the islands enjoyed a cultural and sporting trip of a lifetime in summer 2024 being hosted by our friends on the Island of Froya (Norway) and taking part in a regional tournament held there.
WIBA Senior County Squad
The Western Isles has a county team that trains throughout the year and regularly takes part in challenge matches home and away. We play our home matches in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis and can often host travelling teams for matches. So why not get in touch and let's see if we can organise a trip to the beautiful Western Isles you will always remember.
WIIGA International Squad
The Western Isles Island Games Association takes part in the biennial International Games, which usually will include a Western Isles badminton team. The next games take place in Orkney July 2025. (This is elite level sport and specific eligibility and qualification requirements are set for players wanting to be considered for selection). Expressions of interest are taken around 12 months prior to the Island Games with final selecton being made around 7 months before the games commence.
